Friday we had an opportunity to visit a local dairy farm. A big "Thank you!" to Amy who arranged this field trip for our homeschool group.
This dairy farm is the last complete remaining dairy farm in our area. It has been in operation since before 1900 and has been in the same family for over 100 years. They still produce, bottle and deliver their own milk. They own at least 1300 acres and it is beautiful farmland & woods. We felt privileged that Walt took the time to share the workings of the dairy farm with us.

Milking Process
Walt showed us where the cows are milked. They are milked twice a day & everything is kept extremely clean.
Hello Ladies!
This cow kept snorting in her water. It was as if she knew we were amused and was doing it to show off. Lol!

Want to Be Friends?
Elvis had a ton of questions for Walt. =)
I thought it was very nice that he had this Q&A session with the children. I enjoy hearing the questions they ask & how their minds work.
Something about this drain held Bugs & S's attention for quite some time.

Great pictures!!!! We really enjoyed the tour as well!
Can I steal the pic of N and the cow? P had told me that you got a great shot when we were driving home-he was right!! I love the one of the cow snorting the water too-that was too funny.
You are so lucky that your girls have such good friends. I truly pray that C will find a kindred spirit soon-she longs for a good friend.
