As a surprise last summer Dave bought a bunch of small strawberry plants (tubers) from Gurneys. Many people told us not to expect strawberries for at least 2 years. He planted them last summer in their own little box and I am excited to report that all the plants are producing berries this year! Oh, they are SO sweet too! Delicious! Bugs loves to run out and pick a fresh one off it's stem and pop it in his mouth. In fact, Sweet Pea picked a bunch today & set them on the counter. Bugs found them and promptly gobbled every last one of them. Next time we'll be more careful so we can all get a few. Lol! 
It's hard to see because the plants have grown tremendously but the berries are peeking through.
