Review by Mama and Bugsy

I realized when Bugs brought this out at school time yesterday that I forgot to blog about his new handwriting help. I found this on sale at Kmart around Christmas. It's the 'Leapfrog Scribble & Write'. After letting Bugs try it out in the store, (they allow you to), Dave & I decided it was a winner. Bugs likes to play with it & it is something he can do on his own. I don't know if it's just my boys but both have had a slow start to printing. Their fine motor skills take more time to develop than my girls have. I look at this as a fun way to practice & develop this skill.

It writes much like a Magna Doodle does. You can erase the writing once you are finished too. If you choose the tab where your child traces lights come on in the shape of a letter. You child can then follow & trace. They learn both uppercase & lowercase letters which is something not all writing toys do. Or at least not the ones we saw. The goal is to eventually have them write the letters on their own. So far it gets an A+ from Bugs & I!

An up close look

Here is the picture I found online.
It gives you a better look at how you can write on it.

Well, isn't that just the neatest looking little thing.
