Potty Training ~ Day #2

Dave has been busy these past 2 days potty training Bugs. He is using the same system he used with Elvis. We've tried all the regular stuff but it didn't work with the boys. Plus with our world being upside down this summer & fall it wasn't the time to try this. The biggest hurdle seems to be recognizing the "gotta go" feeling. This program helps with that in that you keep the child drinking making them have to go often. Eventually they connect the feeling with the constant sprints to the potty and BINGO! Bugs is doing well. The light bulb is beginning to go on. Of course time will tell if this really works but there is hope! He is being very cooperative in running into the bathroom each time Daddy asks him too. This is BIG! Hooray! He is so very proud of himself whenever he emerges victorious. Of course we all clap, cheer him on and reward him with a little candy treat. I love his toothless grin! And he looks so darn cute in his big boy underwear paired with his t-shirt!

Growing

Now that the kittens are growing older they are venturing away from mama & exploring. One of the things I love is the time I can spend with them. One evening Skywalker came up and cuddled up with me and fell asleep. I took this to be a sweet compliment. That he trusted me this way melted my heart.

I've included some more recent pics of the kittens too. They are growing fast!

Sassy amused me with her antics.

Auntie Tucker has decided she is their 2nd mommy.

Pixie samples her first taste of cat food.

They still love to nurse when mama allows.

New Sneaks

Elvis was proud to get his new sneaks this past weekend. I had bought them on sale several weeks ago planning to pull them out once the cooler weather hit. I purposely bought a bigger size than needed too. When he tried on his old ones (old is a relative term here as I only bought those this past spring!) his toes were almost bursting out of them. The boy has grown a shoe size and a half this summer! WOW! So now he is sporting these a little early. =) I'm glad I bought them when I did!
