Christmas Morning at Home

FINALLY! I have our Christmas pictures uploaded and ready to post. There are a lot of pictures here but believe me these are the tip of the iceberg. Lol! I took over 400 pictures over Christmas Eve & Christmas. So many memories. I hope you enjoy seeing our day. Happy Birthday, Jesus!

After his little show we started getting ready to go over to my parents' house. I have posted pics from there in Part 2. Told ya I took a lot of pictures! Hee, hee!
P.S. Most of the children's gifts came from yard sales. They don't mind one bit and it helps our budget tremendously.

Christmas Day Part 2

After a jam packed morning at our home we headed off to Grannie's & Grandpa's. Uncle Tim, Uncle Darin, Nana & Uncle Gene were there ready to sit down to Christmas dinner. It was a busy time with more presents, visiting, posing for family pictures, playing games & of course eating. We especially enjoyed our time with Nana, Uncle Darin & Uncle Gene as we don't get to see them very often. It was a busy, busy day and we didn't head home until late. We have many good memories though and the kids had a terrific time.

Soon after that it was 9:30 or 10 and we headed home. What a big day!!

Bug

It's here again. The flu bug. Boo has been sick since Monday morning & my stomach has been "off" all week. Tonight it took me full force. Ugh. I think I'll be heading to bed early tonight. Like now. I was going to post about school but I'll have to postpone that. I hope to be back soon.

How Crazy Is This?

I can't believe how warm it is today! E-boy keeps going around the house declaring, "It's spring! It's SPRING!" Lol. It is 60 degrees right now. 60!!!!! On January 8th!!!! How wild is that?!?!?!?

We ran out to do a couple of errands this morning and no coats were needed. When we arrived home I opened up all the windows. The fresh air feels fabulous and the kitties are loving sitting in the open windows. Sweet Pea hung some laundry outside for me. Again, isn't that crazy?!?!?!? I made a couple of batches of spaghetti sauce just because I was in such a good mood. Lol. This weather puts a zing in my step.

Wild Weather
Sweet Pea hangs some laundry outside. See how all the snow is melting? It's strange to see the grass this time of year.

Yummy!
The first batch of spaghetti sauce simmers.

Why Not?
I thought, "Why not make another batch and freeze it?" It will sure taste good when that cold weather returns.

Zoob

We received these blocks as a gift this Christmas. The kids are loving them! Here are a couple of the figures they made & have been playing with. They call them "Zoob Dudes".

We Did It!.

We started back to school today! Well, at least E-boy & I did. Boo came down with the flu and was throwing up all night. Poor thing. She is feeling better now so hopefully this is only a 24 hour or less bug. Sweet Pea is doing some independent schoolwork today and tomorrow when Boo feels better we will start back on their joint studies. Bugs is playing. He has been a monkey this morning. He didn't sleep much last night and it is showing in his behavior. He has settled in with his cars for now. Ahhhh.......peace.

Math
Making shapes with toothpicks.

More Math
After we worked on shapes & angels we did some addition and sequencial order. Here is E-boy working in his math workbook. We use Singapore Math.

Bugs Joins In
Bugs pointed out & named the pictures in E-boy's math book.

Occupied
Bugs is busy playing with his cars.

Phonics, Reading & Spelling

Working on his Explode the Code ~ Love these books!

Point of View

Today I let E-boy & Boo take turns with my camera for a bit. It was interesting to see things from their perspective. I liked observing what they chose for subjects & how good they were with the camera. We thought you might like to see too.
**The first 5 pictures were taken by E-boy & the last 4 were taken by Boo Bear.
