Last Day of Swimming

I know I've posted a lot of swimming pics but I couldn't resist taking some of their last day. The kids loved their lessons & I know they will miss them. It was fun seeing friends twice a week & getting some exercise while it's too cold to play outside.

Waiting to Start

Selecting A Few Toys

Green Light!

Aren't They Cute?

Their teacher had them play a game where they raced for the ball & then threw it at the goal. The kids were all too cute paddling along as fast as they could.
(Sorry about their eyes. My little camera doesn't like the lighting in their for some odd reason.)

Again the girls were further away & I had to watch Bugs carefully so it was hard to get good pics. I did take a couple b/c it was the last day. Gotta have something for the memory books, right? =)

Reaching New Goals

A few more pics from swimming. On Friday both groups learned some new things & the little ones even swam to the deep end!

Gus speaking to the kids.

He is supposed to be floating. LOL!

That's better! =)

Bugs loved jumping off the steps into Sister's arms.

Doing great!

Having a fun time!

The little ones swam all the way to the deep end! What a proud moment!

A big cheer for success!

This is Elvis (E-boy) swimming around his teacher & through the noodle bridge. He got a great work-out.

The girls play with Bugs.

The older kids got to paddle in a kayak. How cool is that?!?

Sweet Pea loved this!

Boo getting ready to jump.

Isn't this hilarious?

Friday's Happenings

Friday was a busy day. We worked at home & then raced off to swimming lessons at the YMCA with our homeschool group. After a quick change we were then on our way to join our other homeschool group at a local nursing home to visit with the residents. It was a good time for the girls but a rough time for Bugs & I. He was tired and got crankier as the visit went on. I was tired too so his screaming was tough to take. E-boy did okay going back & forth between being a little bit whiny to being okay. He was also tired and is used to having a nap in the afternoon. The girls enjoyed making a craft with the residents. We were the first to leave and I felt badly but it was needed. I drove the long way home so Bugs could get some rest & we could all chill. Bugs was out cold before we were 5 minutes down the road. =)

Blowing Bubbles

Having Fun
Usually I take Bugs in but b/c we were visiting the nursing home directly afterward I didn't want to get wet. Sweet Pea did a great job taking care of Bugs.

He loves the water!

Passing the Time
While the girls had their lessons I took the boys back to the dressing room to get a jump start on changing. (Usually they have free swim during this time.) After they were dressed & ready we had some time to kill. Thankfully we had brought a bunch of Thomas trains & cars to play with.

Happy Dancing!

Last night I was extremely disappointed as it looked like our homeschool group swimming lessons might not happen. Today I found out that it looks like a go! Yahoo! The kids & I are super excited. It gets tough this time of year as it's too cold and yucky to do anything outside & inside gets boring in a hurry. Cabin fever sets in big time! We've been inside extra b/c of all the illnesses. I'm thrilled that we will have this group time and exercise. Even Bugs & I are allowed in the pool. Can't say that I'm excited about getting into a bathing suit but I am happy about the water time. Lol!
