Smores, Anyone?

When we were house hunting before moving to TN one of the things on our 'Wish List' was a fireplace. I love how cozy they are. They are also fun for roasting marshmellows for Smores. On Saturday night we wanted to use the fire pit outside

Yummy!

Smores!

Family Movie Nights

These seem to be very popular these days as our economy had nose dived & not made much if any recovery. We have always loved them. But now that we have Netflix they happen more often & are very economical. We like to either have a picnic dinner in the living room while watching or a special snack.

Being silly

Tinkerbelle!

Comfy Cozy

My Boo Bear

Princess loves to cruise around making everyone smile.

Finally out of steam Princess cuddles with Daddy & falls asleep.
Being with my little family is the greatest blessing.

Winter Picnic

Our grill has been out of propane for a couple of months. I have longed for the taste of a good piece of grilled meat. This week there was money in the budget to get the tank re-filled. I was very happy when Dave said he was going down to Lowe's today! We planned a picnic dinner to celebrate!

Boo Bear mixed up the lemonade.

Daddy had a grilling buddy tonight. Bugs was very proud of himself. It was adorable to watch him.

Some tastes of summer ~ Cucumbers & tomatoes

You have to have baked beans!

Sweet Pea fed Princess to help out.

Look what I grilled!

Celebrating our winter picnic!

We had hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad & chips too. YUM!

Digging in!
Some may think it's silly to celebrate getting gas for the grill. But hey we are a silly family! LOL! Truly it's fun to celebrate the little moments as well as the big. If you haven't tried it lately go ahead. I bet you'll have a blast!

Family Times

I had these miscellaneous photos from our week & decided it would be easier to post them as a group. In my files I call them, "Family Hang Time". I love capturing those kick back moments at home or just with the fam.

Boo lets me try out her new camera in the van while we wait for Daddy.

The Tunes

Goofing off while waiting.

Daddy's back!

Just at home.

My Mom sent us a gift in the mail, (pics of that later). Bugs thought the box it came in was as great as the gift! Lol!

He spent quite a bit of time in there entertaining us & himself. Lol.

Elvis using Daddy as a jungle gym.

Bailey saw all the fun Bugs had and wanted a turn.

After watching the Steelers win their game, (Yay, Steelers!), Elvis got out the football kit they received for Christmas. Soon Bugs was playing too. Dave was a proud Daddy!

Maybe we'll bring them out tomorrow again for good luck! Go Steelers!

Tuesday's Happenings

Today I spent most of the day working in the girls room. I am always amazed and baffled at how two little girls can obtain so much stuff. Dave & I completely cleaned out their room in mid-December but to look at their room right now you wouldn't know that. It's all the little stuff that gets to me the most. Ack! Little pieces of this & that..... it's everywhere! I filled up another black trash bag today. I think that's #3 so far. Deep cleaning is HARD! Whew! One good thing is that the girls have been motivated by our upcoming yard sale to weed out the things they don't play with anymore. That will help make more room. And I must say it's rewarding to fill up those trash bags & the bags for Freecycle. Very satisfying indeed!

Tonight we went for a walk on a popular walking/biking/skating trail. We decided to try a different section of it and enjoyed it very much. We saw lots of wildlife and scenery. I will post pics of it tomorrow. I'm beat tonight and we have Bible study in the morning and then a playdate. I'm looking forward to both!
