Gingerbread Houses

Last year after Christmas we bought these gingerbread house kits. Boo bought her own & I bought one for the boys to share. Sweet Pea didn't want one & Princess was too young. It's taken us almost a year but they have finally been made. To be honest I'm glad we waited because it's more fun as a prelude to Christmas.

Bugs starts to frost the house. Elvis sulks because Bugs gets to go first. Lol.

Boo is hard at work on her house.

My 3 men.
Elvis joins in & is now a happy boy.

The purchase.

Princess wanted to join in too.

Bugsy's favorite part was the candy.
He swiped quite a few pieces when we weren't looking. LOL!

Boo carefully plans her design.

Taking turns.

Ta-dah!
She added some more later too.

Proud artists.

These were such fun!
I may have to find some on clearance again this year & hide them away for next year. =0)

Night School

We wanted to study Astronomy with the kids but couldn't see how we'd fit into our schedule this fall. Dave agreed to teach them in the evenings over the summer. The plan is to fit as much in before school starts back up and then continue on into the fall. This way we can have a leisurely pace if needed. I don't know about you but our fall is always jam packed.

Dave started the first lesson with the kids tonight. They loved it! Boo & Elvis each have a notebook that goes along with the book. They are using Apologia. Boo studied space before when we were doing KONOS but it was years ago and she was quite little. I don't think she remembers much of it. Bugs sits and listens in and I know he picks up facts here and there. He's only 4 so I'm not worried about him. We'll do the official course with him when he is older. Maybe Princess will join him! =0)

Listening to Daddy read aloud.

They could hardly wait to work on the first lesson in their new workbooks!

We love Apologia!

Cookie Decorating

Usually the kids & Dave make & decorate homemade sugar cookies over Thanksgiving weekend. This year due to different things the tradition was delayed a little. The kids took it all in stride and were excited when it was finally time to get to work. I didn't get any pictures of the cookie making Sunday night but did get to see the kids decorate the cookies on Tuesday night. They did a nice job and had lots of fun. I love seeing their different, creative styles.

Boo with her favorite color.

Sweet Pea loves to cook, bake & decorate.

Here come the cookies!

Bugs can't resist.

Daddy gives Bugs some sprinkles to put on his cookie.

The artists with their creations.
Doesn't Elvis look like he just got caught red handed? LOL!

Next it was time to bring the tree inside.

Elvis was more than eager to help.

Daddy's Big Boy Helpers

The boys have really enjoyed having our family back together again. They are more than happy to help Daddy with the projects around the house. Power tools are their favorite!

Elvis helps Daddy build book/toy shelves.

Very proud helper.

Unpacking can be fun!

Changing the Locks

Bugsy's first time with the power drill.

Just like Bob the Builder!

New Treasures

Elvis has really been into hats lately. He has been wearing his green, soccer baseball cap practically everywhere. Even to bed! I whispered to Dave that I knew Elvis would LOVE a Tennessee baseball cap. Dave looked around and found a deal which enabled him to buy all 4 kids a cap! He gave the caps to the kids on his last visit. I think Elvis has been wearing his every since! Lol. Everyone treasures them and I smile every time I see one of them wearing theirs.

Checking It Out

Okay, she reminds me of someone............but who?

Looking Good!

THANK YOU, DADDY!

Take A Look At Bugs! =)

Happy With Their New Hats

He Can Barely See! Hee, hee!
