Ready....Set....Gifts!

Boo was excited about her birthday. She counted down to the minute she was born. She also had an eye on the packages her grandparents had sent. We always have our big gift time when Daddy is home. But I couldn't see the harm in allowing her to unwrap the gifts from her grandparents. She was very happy about this decision!

From Grandma & Grandpa M.

A special pen
Boo was thrilled b/c it is just like Sweet Pea's only silver.

A very pretty bracelet.
Mommy is thrilled b/c the rope is thick & hopefully "Boo proof". Lol!

We teased her about this.

This new doll was inside.

Elvis had fun with the bag the doll was wrapped in.

Got him! =0)
She also received money from each set of grandparents.
Very blessed indeed!

Sweet Pea's Birthday

Sweet Pea turned 13! I can't believe she is a teenager already -- although she has been acting like one for years. Winky 2 Part of her celebration this year was that she could choose a place to go out to eat and who to go with. She decided she wanted the whole family to celebrate with her. She chose a local place that we have seen the signs for for months. It was fun to try out a new place.

The kids all crack up every single time they see this sign or hear the name. LOL!

Goofing around while waiting in the van.

Aren't they silly?

Here's the Birthday Girl!
Isn't she beautiful?

Can you guess what caught my eye?

This was a wild looking fan.

After a delicious lunch we headed to Target to shop. Everyone still had some Christmas $ from Nana on the Target gift card. Sweet Pea ALWAYS loves to go shopping so this was perfect for her day.

I can't be on my feet for very long anymore. I asked if I could ride a scooter and they told me y-e-s. Oh my gosh it was fun!

Bugs playing with his new toy from Nana. Thank you Nana!

Sweet Pea decided to have Death By Chocolate for her dessert this year. It does have cake in it so that counts, right? Lol. Daddy & Boo made a big bowl of it. Oh my goodness it was delicious!

Hee, hee, hee!

Happy Birthday!

Sweet Pea had a great birthday. In addition to the presents pictured here she also received a guinea pig, Bella, complete with cage from Mama & Daddy; a new comforter for her bed & the promise of a salon haircut also from Mama & Daddy; a Barnes & Noble gift card from Grannie; a reading light from Grandpa; a Walmart gift card from Grandma & Grandpa M. & a cash gift from Nana. Boy, was she blessed!

Christmas Comes Early!

Friday morning was exciting here. We had our new couches delivered! This is Dave & my main Christmas gift(s) to each other. We decided we'd much rather have these for the new house than some other things for ourselves. I'm super excited! They are very comfy too. These are to be the "formal" couches. They are not for playing around and definitely no food or drink are allowed on them. It sounds a little harsh but we have the Family Room upstairs for all those "fun" things. *Big Grin*

There was only a $20 difference between the love seat price & the couch price. So we went with 2 couches as we get another seat for everyone. Pretty good deal, I think. =)

I simply LOVE the dark red! (The true color is on the couch on the right . The other looks lighter b/c of the flash.)

There is now a little corner for a few of Bugsy's toys.

The other wall.

The kids were bouncing off the walls with excitement! They love them!

And won't the red look extra nice at Christmas?

Mommy's Home!

Whenever I am away from my children for an extended amount of time I like to pick them up a little surprise. Sometimes it's a memento from where I've been and other times it's a little something that I know they'll like. This time during our visit to New Hampshire I picked up some things for the younger kids who had stayed behind at my Mom's house. I looked for mementos but didn't find any that fit the kids tastes or my budget. So instead I went to trusty Super Walmart. =) The kids were more than happy with their gifts and it was fun to see their surprise and smiles.

Bugs couldn't get the box open fast enough! He wanted that helicopter! Lol.

I think the whole neighborhood heard Elvis cheering when he received his Transformers DVD. And what a deal for Mama too at only $5!

For my Hannah Montana fan I couldn't resist buying her these buttons. She shrieked with delight just as I had hoped she would.

Sweet Pea helps Bugs get all the twisty ties off his new helicopter.

A happy boy!
