Bugsy's spring soccer season ended in the middle of May. They had their awards night. It is always a big celebration & we love it. Here are the pictures.

NEXT, PLEASE!
Now that we have conquered the office/schoolroom it is time to move on to another room in the house. I can't take the clutter, dirt & disorganization any longer. In order to enjoy my summer & stay somewhat sane when school starts again I must get this done. I let Sweet Pea choose the room. The Family Room was her choice & so the work began!
First we cleared off all the shelves on this side of the room.
Little by little.......
Then we started moving the shelves away from the wall in order to retrieve all those pesky things that like to hide underneath.
Yep, there was a lot!
Smile!
We moved the other 2 shelves.
Lo and behold, more junk!
Busy bees.
Princess needed a rest. She saw the cleared shelves as the perfect bed. Zzzzzzzzz...........
Who needs expensive bunk beds, right?
Snug as a bug in her new perch.
More pics to come!

Funny Moment

FUNNY MOMENT AT TKD:
Bugsy's class was practicing. Their instructor, a 20-some year old black belt, said to them, "You want to punch hard & straight like Rocky." I knew it was coming & waited. A few seconds later one of the kids asked in a puzzled tone, "Who's Rocky?" Their young instructor looked stunned. Then he recovered & answered, "You don't know who Rocky is? Oh no. I suddenly feel OLD!" I couldn't help it. I laughed right out loud. Poor guy. I think this was his first realization that he has graduated into the "older generation". ROTFL!

Graduation to First Grade Math!
As you may remember Bugsy turned 5 at the end of September. I started him in kindergarten realizing he is young but knowing he is ready. He proved that today! He finished his kindergarten math books of addition & subtraction & graduated to Singapore Mathematics 1st grade today!
This cracked me up. He turned to me as he tried to solve the problem in his head thinking hard and saying, "Hmmm, is it 5?" He was correct!

A Bathtub for a Bed
Poor Bugsy. We had Tornado Warnings Sunday night. We were in there twice waiting for the tornadoes to pass. At least one was only 3 miles away. Our safe place is our bathroom. Since there isn't room for all of us to sit on the floor the boys sat in the bathtub. Poor Bugs must have been exhausted from his big day b/c I looked over & he was sound asleep.

Happy Birthday, Bugsy!
I can hardly believe it. Our Bugsy turns 5 today! I see him every day & am still amazed at how quickly he is growing up.
I've posted some pictures here in this post & some separately from my older files. He has changed in many ways but in many ways he is the same. He is still a sweet, loving, active boy full of personality and grins. I am deeply thankful for our precious boy. He filled our arms & hearts in a time when we were grieving deeply. He brought joy back to all of us. I love you, Bugs and am thankful to have every day at home with you.

A Day Out With Thomas
Bugsy has been waiting for this ALL year! He went last year for his birthday & has literally been counting down until Thomas came to Nashville again. This year he went with Daddy. They went earlier in the day & it was a great choice. The weather couldn't have been more perfect either.
