Is It Over Yet?

Today has been a BAD day. From the lipstick drawings all over the bathroom, to the bold, red crayon artwork in the boys' bedroom & on the train table......and of course we can't forget the poop in the carpet, the food all over the living room & the disobeying & fighting.
Add this to the recent struggles of chores, listening, bickering, my exhaustion & my tummy ache and we had a disaster of a day. I finally ended up sending 2 to their individual rooms before they blinded each other with cleaning spray. And yes, they are still sitting in their make-shift cells.

I'm taking the wimpy way out & letting Dave take over from here. I'm taking refuge in my room for awhile, clinging to the scrap of sanity I have remaining & praying for a better day tomorrow.

Typical Day

Today was pretty much a typical Monday. It was chilly & cloudy with the threat of rain so we stayed inside most of the day. At one point I did have Sweet Pea take Elvis outside to pick up all the scattered toys. Elvis had tons of energy today and I hoped that letting him outside might help him to run some of it off. How do they have so much energy? And where can I get some? Lol. The rest of the day was spent catching up on chores, working on schoolwork & hanging out a bit. Boo & I watched 'Nancy Drew' this afternoon. We need to return it to the library tonight so I squeezed it in this afternoon as a little treat. Sweet Pea had already watched it with her best friend. Tonight Dave is working on the car (which is still not running), the kids are doing math and I am doing lesson plans. Nothing exciting but that's okay. I like low-key days.

Monday Was Monday

Today my meal planning didn't go too well. Okay, it flat out failed. The girls didn't finish their assignments or their chores and I spent all my time chasing them down and getting them to stay focused and work. I also overslept which put me behind but that was my fault. The afternoon was taken up by piano practice & lessons. We ended up serving leftovers to the kids and Dave & I had a cheap meal from Taco Bell later on in the evening . I am going to try again tomorrow to stick to my meal plan. Wish me luck!
