Ginger
After many empty replies to my offer on Craigs List we have finally found a good home for Ginger. She is going to her new home this afternoon. I will miss her dearly. She is one of the sweetest kittens I have ever seen & is cute as a button. She is also the daughter of my favorite kitty, Sassy. I am thankful that since we can't keep her someone else will love her & raise her. Today we took time to have some last cuddle time.

Uncle Donnie
More sad news tonight. My Uncle Donnie lost his brave fight with pancreatic cancer tonight. He fought for his life to the very end. we are all comforted by the knowledge that he is in Heaven. I know he is now completely healed & with Jesus. But he will be missed greatly.
My aunt emailed us. And my brother, Darin called. I could hear the grief in his voice. I'm glad I got to hug him earlier today.
I haven't seen him since I was a child. I didn't have the resources as a young adult to make the trip to visit him & he didn't like to travel. For me this makes the memories I do have of him all the more precious. He was always muscular & strong. I see him in my mind's eye smiling and joking with us. He took time to play with us and was our hero. Later on in life my cousins lovingly called him "Uncle Superman". There wasn't anything he couldn't do.
I can only imagine the loss my aunt is feeling. She lost the love of her life. And my cousins lost their hero.
Please, God hold them close tonight & every day that follows.
And to anyone that is reading this.....remember to hold those you love close. Hug them. Spend time with them. And make certain you tell them you love them. It's something you'll never regret doing.

Tears Tonight

Tonight has been a tear filled night as reality sets in. The kids are very aware that Daddy will only be with us one more week before he leaves for his new job. I think the hardest part is not knowing how long we will be separated. Boo Bear is hit the hardest tonight. I have to admit once she started crying I couldn't help myself and joined her. I'm sure our long day isn't helping to stem the tears tonight.
Thank you everyone for your prayers. I'm not sure how much I will be online this coming week as we are concentrating on lots of family time this last week. In addition to that will be the mad scramble to finish up all house projects before our Open House on Saturday. Dave leaves that Sat. night or Sunday morning. I will try to post as I can but please forgive me if I get behind. We are all exhausted at this point and in addition to praying for hurting hearts please pray for extra energy and patience for all of us. We will certainly be in need of it. Thanks, dear friends.
