GO AWAY!

Rain, rain & more rain. That's all it's been doing for the last 5 days. Feels like the last month! We have had over 4.5 inches of rain so far. The neighbors yard is flooded. Dave has a swingset for the kids that he wants to set up but he can't until things dry out a bit. The kids are tired from being cooped up indoors. Ack! I'm praying it's over soon & we can get back out in the sunshine! We miss you, Mr. Sun!

Will It Ever Stop?

Late yesterday the rain started up again. We had a day & a half of dry weather after 2 straight days of downpours. Last night we had extreme storms & lost power for a few hours. I am very thankful that it was only a few hours as I was concerned about the food in our freezers. Today we had rain all afternoon accompanied by more thunder & lightening. The ground is saturated with rain & the water table is high. I wish we could send some of this rain down to our thirsty, southern neighbors or those out in California.

Rain, Rain, Rain

Tuesday & Wednesday it poured. Sheets of rain, wind & in the evenings lightening & thunder. I have not seen that much constant rain in a long time! By the time it was all said & done we had 4 to 5 inches of rain. Can you imagine that? I think of that in terms of snow to wrap my mind around it. Whoa! Thankfully our home is not in a flooding area. PTL!

As we hit the middle of the second day we began to get a bit of cabin fever. I let the kids outside as it was not thundering or lightening and they had a blast. They danced, played leapfrog, raced and had good old fashioned fun.
