ENTERTAINING AT THE ZOO

The zoo had some visitors on Sunday for a kid's day.  One section was a "Musical Petting Zoo".  It was really cool & had all sorts of instruments you could try out and play with.  I decided to do some entertaining.  Lol.

Zoo

Recently we took a trip to the Nashville Zoo. It was the last day of the summer carousel rides. Well, the free ones for members that is. Normally we don't go on the ride because it adds up to $10 for all the kids to ride ONE time. Yikes! This time we were able to squeeze in 2 free rides before the time ran out. It was crowded!

I apologize for the less than stellar photos on the ride. I was trying to use my point & shoot and hold onto Princess at the same time while the ride was going & moving me around. Tricky! LOL!

Loving this special treat!

Wheeeeee!

You're never too old for a fun ride on a carousel! Ask Sweet Pea! =0)

Look at me, Mom!

Love that big grin!

Princess & Mommy
It was her first carousel ride!

She wasn't sure about it at first. But then she was facinated watching everything & everyone.

Two families - 9 kids!

A visit up to the farm.

Walking through the gardens.

Some time in the bouncy house.

Time to see the new flamingo exhibit!

These birds are amazing!

Some of the girls wanted to take turns pushing Sweet Pea in her stroller. Sweet Pea loved it & waved as she rode along acting like she was queen in a parade. Lol!

Hello, fans!

The Red Panda is one of my favorites. It was a treat to have him come right up to the glass!

Beautiful!
We saw many other animals too. My absolute favorites were the flamingos. It was a fun day & I'm looking forward to going again when it is cooler.

Staycation Day #4

For our last day of Staycation we went to the zoo. We have a membership there so all we had to pay for was gas & a drink. Nice! We had a great time roaming around observing all the animals. There were even some new ones added & others out and about that we hadn't seen before. (In case you are wondering why there are no pics of Sweet Pea in our Staycation posts it's b/c she was up north visiting Nana & my parents.)

This guy & his pals were squawking like crazy when we arrived.

There were 3 of these Siamangs. They were "talking" back & forth with the funniest noises. We could hear them when we pulled up in the parking lot! We watched them for quite awhile they were so entertaining.

More Animals

I could relate to this sign. Lol!

Trying to hide from the constant paparazzi.

Being Silly

I just had to join in! Lol!

The kids found that this sprayed a fine mist. They enjoyed it immensely as the day was very hot.

Next we went inside the "Unseen World" building.

Giant Cuban Anole

Collared Lizard

Tiger Salamander

He really enjoyed this display.

Love this pic!

I shall name him Eeyore.

Fish wearing a hat! How cool is that?

Isn't his tail amazing?

Lunch!

I love the brillant blue of his eyes.

Ribbit

Cutie

Toothless smile

Prince Charming?

The bird show. Boo loved this as she is a huge bird lover.

See how red their little faces are?

She was such a good girl.

We're hoping to go back soon with our neighbors!
