Hands on Learning at Co-op
Co-op days are a huge amount of work but so much fun. I am always amazed at how much my kids learn & retain.
In Science the kids were making ocean animals out of clay.
We made rag rugs in Prairie Primer.
Sewing the pieces together.
I helped Bugsy braid his.
Elvis was eager to learn how to braid.
I taught the kids how to play a game of marbles. A popular game in Laura's day!
We had to play inside as the weather was rainy & cold. But we still had lots of fun!

Even the little ones get lots of play & learning time.

Uncle Darin
Right before Thanksgiving my brother Darin came to town. He stopped in on a Saturday much to the delight of Dave, the kids & I. Later that night he came back & took the kids to a bonfire a friend of his was hosting. The kids had a blast. They adore their "Uncle D" and this was the best present he could have given them - his time. Dave, Princess & I stayed home and had a quiet dinner & a Netflix movie. It was nice. We're hoping to see Darin again soon!

Christmas Cards
I still have a lot of catching up to do but had to share the great deal I got on our Christmas cards! Thanks to Kelly at Faithful Provisions I was able to get 50 Christmas photo cards for only $3.19! That was the shipping cost only! The cards were F-R-E-E! Yay, baby! I am beyond thrilled as this is even less than I had planned to spend if I ordered prints at 9cents/each! And you KNOW what they cost at regular price. Here is the photo I used. I don't have a copy of the card but when they are mailed to me I'll try to remember to take a pic and post them here.

Photo Shoot
Recently I decided to take an outside photo shoot of the kids. I want to get some nice, updated photos to hang in the house. I asked the kids to dress up and meet me outdoors. For some reason Sweet Pea never came but I'll catch her next time. Unfortunately a storm moved in as we were outdoors but I did manage to get a few good shots before the light went. I plan to try again soon as I'd love a great group shot and more single shots.
