BOYS ROOM ~ THE FINISHED PRODUCT

PART TWO:

Cleaning up the tubs & making sure everything is in it's place.

The kids wrangled the extra mattress across the room into the closet.

The girls helped lift the mattress so we could clean underneath.

We even cleaned behind all the furniture.

The corner walls needed some paint to freshen them up.  Thank God for leftovers.

Hmmmmmmm...........now how will we get that train table in there?

Bugsy cleaned his bookcase.

Elvis spiffed his bookcase up too.  Looks great!

The reward for all their hard work?  New curtains!!!!!!

In case it's hard to see they have Star Wars Clones all over them.  My boys are HUGE Star Wars fans.

Long lost posters were put up too!

The 3rd set will go up when I get another curtain rod.  I bought these months ago when they were super cheap on Amazon.  I believe they were $16 for all 3 sets including shipping & tax.  Sweet!

Oh, and the train table DID fit!  

We did some rearranging in the Family Room too.  Both the boy's desks are where the train table used to be.  

And it's ALL DONE!  Now to maintain.........

Here We Go Again!

What a big week we have had! Monday was Travel Day, Tuesday was a heavy school day, Wednesday Bible Study & Caravan, Thursday Cooking Class & the library and today a field trip to a dairy farm & a lunch date with Daddy. (I'll be posting pics later of today's events.)

Tonight was busy as well. With the girls at sleepovers and Bugs asleep, Elvis & I tackled the bedroom he shares with Bugs . Soon Dave came up and started cleaning out the playroom. We worked for 2.5 hours and still aren't done re-sorting everything yet. Ack! We do have two big, black garbage bags full of toys and a medium sized box of books to get rid of. I'm thinking we may save them & try having a yard sale this summer. I have other items as well and my Mom has been asking me if we are going to have a yard sale. She has things to try to sell too & our home is in a fantastic location. I plan to go through the girls room with them, the downstairs closets and the bins of clothes in the attic. I'm in the mood to purge! In addition to the bags of toys I have a big black bag filled with trash. It feels good to get things cleaned out again!

Cabin Fever

We have started our spring cleaning early. I am tired of winter, clutter & being inside. It feels good to purge & get things organized.

Boys' Room

In cleaning the playroom we also had to include the boys' room & the toys in the living room to properly organize. Dave helped us later that night. It was a BIG project and it was good to have his help.

Hooray!

Thanks to a lot of hard work & some new storage baskets their closet is back to how it should be.

Now onto the girls room! CHARGE!!!!!!!!
